When the drain will not go

A blocked drain does not keep office hours. Ruth Loughrey rang on a Friday morning and Jamie was there in a couple of hours. Ken Taylor rang at half past four and we were on site at 8am the next morning. Sean Simpson had a Sunday call-out, same day.

What to do while you wait

Stop running water where you can, so the blockage does not back up further.
Do not keep pouring chemicals down — they rarely clear a proper blockage and make the job messier.
If it is a toilet or an outside gully, note which fittings are affected. That helps us arrive with the right kit.

Repeats, dips or a drain that only partly clears are worth a CCTV survey rather than another blind unblock.
